Baptist Friendship House is a ministry of Roanoke Valley Baptist Association (RVBA) and is one of two Baptist Mission Centers in the city of Roanoke.
The Baptist Mission Centers were begun in 1939 by the RVBA Woman’s Missionary Union (RVBA-WMU). The RVBA-WMU ceded responsibility to the Association September 1, 2008.
The Baptist Friendship House has been at 635 Elm Ave., SW since 1987. It sits on a double lot with a playground area to the side. The House features:
- two kitchens
- 5 rooms for small-group instruction
- a shower
- a storage shed
