Volunteer
Volunteers and donations are the lifeblood of Baptist Friendship House.
At present, we need volunteers for the following tasks and projects:
- Volunteers to provide lunch on the 1st, 2nd, 4th & 5th Tuesdays of the month for our Adult Bible Study ministry. The meal/lunch will need to feed 15 to 17 people. Please contact Frazier, 343.5437, for more information.
- Snacks for the Youth Group (chips, soda, cookies, corn dogs/pizza rolls, etc.)
- HopeSHED needs: (canned veggies/fruit/soup/meats, spagetti sauce/pasta, mac/chz, instant potatoes, crackers, cereal/oatmeal, peanut butter/jelly, cornbread/muffin mixes, ramen noodles, toilet paper, dish soap, laundry detergent and baby diapers/wipes).
- Volunteer to Power Wash the House and SHED
- Volunteers to fill holes and reseal parking lot
- Volunteers to help with playground maintenance (ex: purchase wood chips and spread on playground, chain fencing needs minor repairs, etc.)
- Volunteers to assist with SHED upgrades (ex: new siding, roof repair, indoor shelving & ac window unit)
- Volunteers to haul brush & cardboard to the dump
- Volunteers to remove bench & lattice from front porch. Purchase lattice and install new benches
- Volunteers to help with gutter cleaning/assessment
- Experienced/Licensed preferred volunteer to take down a dying/diseased tree and haul off
- Volunteers to help us start a garden in the spring
- Volunteers/Church to help with field trip transportation
- Volunteers to help patch cement floor in basement
- Prayer
We take all types of volunteers, whether you are an individual or you represent a youth group, small group, Sunday School class, WMU group, or church… or anything or anyone else! Just call us at 343.5437 and we will find a way to utilize your gifts and calling.
