April Needs List
We’re back from Spring Break and roaring towards summer. Here are the Needs Lists for each center.
BAPTIST COMMUNITY CENTER
* Prayer
* Volunteers
* Umbrella for a round outdoor patio table
* Swim Lesson Sponsors ($20 per child…Our hope is to have 10 to 20 children sponsored). We need all sponsors/money by May 21, 2010.
* Lunch Sponsors for our Thursday Ladies Bible Study (please call me for details)
* Fabric for quilting, needles, pins, crochet string for tacking
* Blankets for quilts (to be put inside the quilts)
* Non-Perishable food for our food closet (we are distributing food bags monthly for the children and ladies)
* Beach Towels for children to use at pool
* Coffee
* Construction Paper (note: Learning Resources has packs of solid colors for $2.50 a pack)
* Churches to do a week of camp (please call me for details)
* Grill brush set to clean grill
* Swimsuits for boy and girls (preferably one piece for girls)
* Sandwich/quart size baggies (needed for summer use providing snacks/cereal)
* Cereal: Cheerios, fruit loops, any cereal that kids would like to eat dry)
* Bags of microwave popcorn
* Replacement Window Sponsorships ($150 each) in memory of Judy Hetherington
BAPTIST FRIENDSHIP HOUSE
* Volunteers willing to help with small jobs at the homes of our ladies.
* Sponsorships for Angel Food Boxes (we give 1 out monthly to our Ladies program participants, $30 each)
* Non-Perishable Food. We use these for bingo prizes as well as to give out to families in need.
* Coupons for our ladies so that they may save at the grocery store.
* Coffee, stirrers, cups, plates, napkins, plastic silverware for our Ladies Bible Study
* Paper towels and bathroom tissue
* Household necessities such as laundry detergent, dish soap, hand soap, cleaning supplies, etc.
* Personal toiletries such as shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc.
* Volunteers to lead a one 2-hour workshop for our ladies this summer such as quilting, cooking, scrapbooking, crafts, or any other hobbies that are fun to teach others.
* Sports Equipment for children and youth.
* Wal-Mart gift cards of $25 each to help make ends meet for our program participants.
