Associate Pastor – Youth & Children
Mount Pleasant Baptist is seeking to fill the full-time position of Associate Pastor, Youth and Children. The primary responsibilities of the Associate Pastor, Youth and Children will be to plan, implement and evaluate a comprehensive ministry to Youth and the responsibility of providing direction to and overseeing the leadership of the children’s ministry. The Associate Pastor shall serve as a right hand to the Senior Pastor and shall assist in carrying out the ministry of the church. Church Administrative Assistant Position
Mount Pleasant Baptist is seeking to fill the position of church administrative assistant. This is a paid, part-time M-Th position. Duties include weekly bulletin and prayer list updates, assisting the treasurer with record-keeping, and other duties as assigned by Senior and Youth Pastors. Experience with Power Church preferred. The committee has met five times (May 24, June 7, July12, August 9 and September 13) since the announcement of the Executive Director’s retirement.
Report The committee has done the following:
- Prayer
- Search committee training
- Discussed the Executive Director “Job Description” as described in the Organizational Manual
- Decided to give first priority to search for Interim Executive Director
- Prioritized responsibilities for an Interim Executive Director
- Discussed the expectations and compensation for an Interim Executive Director
- Discussed the search process for an Interim Executive Director
- Decided to make two recommendations to the Executive Committee for approval
- Selected Harold Cook as the candidate for the Interim Executive Director. He will be presented to the Association for election to this position during the Fall Meeting (October 25, 2011)

That the 2011 Term members of the Personnel Committee continue to serve through the election of the new Executive Director and the 2014 Term members begin their service immediately following their election.
That the Personnel Committee be authorized to search for a part-time (20 hours/week) Interim Executive Director and offer compensation (salary and housing) not to exceed ½ of compensation (salary and housing) that is in the 2011 Association Budget for the Executive Director.

PART-TIME YOUTH MINISTER POSITION
Springwood Baptist Church, Buchanan VA is looking for a part time youth leader
for middle school and high school youth. Job duties for the youth
director/leader include but are not limited to:
> *Teach Youth Sunday School on Sunday mornings from 9:45am-10:45am
> *Attend Worship with the youth on Sunday mornings at 11am
> *Prepare and lead a youth Bible study/devotion/game or activity on Wed.
evenings from 7pm-8pm
> *Assist Youth council in planning and carrying out future youth activities
> *The remaining hours each week will be used in planning and preparing as well
as communicating with youth and their families via formats like texting,
Facebook, etc.
> This position pays $300.00 per month and the pay would grow yearly as the
