Pastoral Care Position

Fellowship Community Church is seeking the position of Pastoral Care. This position would require 15-20 hours per week and include the following responsibilities:

Pastoral Care Position:

To facilitate a care structure for FCC through laymen in the church with our Life Groups
To coordinate the leadership training and implementation of the Stephens Ministry
To supplement the pastoral care visits to the hospitals and homebound by working closely with the Pastor
To help with weddings and funerals as needed
To provide the premarital counseling for couples getting married as needed
Track and report weekly on Pastoral Care activity through an excel spreadsheet
Attend Wednesday night prayer time at least 2 times per month
Attend Staff meeting at least 1 time per month
All other duties as assigned

Children’s Summer Intern – June 1 to Aug 31

Mount Pleasant Baptist Church is looking for a part-time summer intern for our children’s ministry. Responsibilities include leading Wednesday night children’s activities and taking a leadership role in our Mega Sports Camp Bible School as well as our annual children’s camp and various other periodic children’s events throughout the summer. Summer Youth Minister Position

Riverdale Baptist Church is seeking a Summer Youth Minister for the months of June, July and August. This is a temporary part time position. This individual shall guide, reach and teach youth according to Biblical standards. We are looking for one who is youth minded and has experience in working with youth or is currently in an educational program relating to ministry. Must be able to independently and cooperatively plan activities and events. Must be able to independently problem solve and incorporate creative solutions. Shall coordinate events and activities with the current Youth Minister and be participate in Sunday and Wednesday night activities. Shall coordinate Vacation Bible School. Please plan to have a great Associational Emphasis Week at your church this year. The theme for 2012 is “Duty, Devotion, Practice with Passion .”

The Roanoke Valley Baptist Association has resources you can use (prayer guide, children’s sermon, Annie Mae Broyles Offering poster, etc). The 2012 Annie Mae Broyles Offering Goal is $50,000 (Baptist Mission Centers – $25,000, Bold Missions – $18,200, Disaster Relief – $3,000, Campus Ministries – $1,800 and Standing Rock Mission – $2,000).
