Responsibilities for all FCC Campuses:
  • Responsible for all aspects of worship/rehearsal planning & prayer, song discovery, charts & arrangements, creative elements & communication
  • Oversee church wide marketing and publicity including development and distribution of digital & printed materials as well as website & social media content
  • Assist pastoral staff in casting and accomplishing church vision, along with leading and shepherding of congregation
  • Manage all aspects of the technical/production team
  • Regularly collaborate, coach and coordinate with staff from all 3 campuses to help cultivate ministry relationships to provide continuity

Mount Olivet Southern Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a Bi-Vocational Music Minister to develop and oversee a complete music program with a blended worship service.

Candidates should be proficient in leading worship on the piano or with a guitar. The amount of education is open for discussion. However, experience is preferred. Weekly requirements include planning and leading worship services, conducting rehearsals with choir and praise teams as needed. Other responsibilities include; oversee the “Worship Team” which includes, audio visual, children’s choir, children’s worship, and also any special services.

Minimum Qualifications:
1.Preferably 3-5 years of experience in church music/worship leadership of some kind.
2.Affirm the Baptist, Faith, and Message 2000.
 
General Qualifications:
1.Promote overall well-being and vision of MPBC.
2.Clear and consistent communication with the pastor, other staff, music team, and praise choir.
3.Maintain confidentiality and effectively practice discretion in dealing with sensitive issues.
4.Maintain a supportive role to the pastor, while having a team approach to ministry which supports all areas of ministry, programs, and the vision of MPBC.
 
Personal Qualifications:
1.Maintain a vital, dynamic relationship with the Lord through prayer, Bible study, and worship.
2.Maintain proper priorities in the home.
3.Actively and consistently taking advantage of opportunities to share the gospel with those in and around the community.
4.Support the work and ministry of MPBC through faithful, biblical giving.
5.Seek through the power of the Holy Spirit to live a life worthy of Jesus Christ.
6.Demonstrate the characteristics of spiritual leadership found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.
7.A fully supportive spouse in this ministry role (if applicable).  
 
Job Skills:
1.Knowledge and experience with the various styles of worship music.
2.A basic knowledge of A/V equipment and technology.
3.Ability to work with and relate to others.
4.Good administrative and organizational skills.
5.Ability to play an instrument, read music, and lead the congregational singing.
 
Job Responsibilities (10-15 hours a week):
1.Worship leader for Sunday morning worship service (s).
2.Weekly praise choir rehearsal. 
3.Organize a practice schedule with the Music team for worship.
4.Maintain and oversee the Music budget.
5.Develop a strategy to implement new worship music into the rotation.
6.Organize and plan for the Hanging of the Greens.
7.Work with the pastor in developing music sets and the order of service each week.
