RVBA PERSONNEL COMMITTEE REPORT
The committee has met five times (May 24, June 7, July12, August 9 and September 13) since the announcement of the Executive Director’s retirement.
Report The committee has done the following:
- Prayer
- Search committee training
- Discussed the Executive Director “Job Description” as described in the Organizational Manual
- Decided to give first priority to search for Interim Executive Director
- Prioritized responsibilities for an Interim Executive Director
- Discussed the expectations and compensation for an Interim Executive Director
- Discussed the search process for an Interim Executive Director
- Decided to make two recommendations to the Executive Committee for approval
- Selected Harold Cook as the candidate for the Interim Executive Director. He will be presented to the Association for election to this position during the Fall Meeting (October 25, 2011)
Recommendations approved at the Executive Committee meeting July 26, 2011
That the 2011 Term members of the Personnel Committee continue to serve through the election of the new Executive Director and the 2014 Term members begin their service immediately following their election.
That the Personnel Committee be authorized to search for a part-time (20 hours/week) Interim Executive Director and offer compensation (salary and housing) not to exceed ½ of compensation (salary and housing) that is in the 2011 Association Budget for the Executive Director.
