About Standing Rock

The Standing Rock Indian Reservation is home to Lakota Indians in North Dakota and South Dakota. The 3.5 million acre reservation straddles the two states, making it the 6th largest reservation in the United States. Over 8,000 people live there.

Fort Yates, ND is home to the tribal headquarters.
