Catawba Valley Baptist Church is a welcoming country church in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains, within sight of McAfee Knob on the Appalachian Trail. Our life together is grounded in prayer, faithful biblical teaching, caring relationships, and a longstanding commitment to missions. We are prayerfully seeking a Senior Pastor who will build on these strengths, deepen discipleship, equip members for ministry, and lead us in sharing the gospel with our community and the world.
The Senior Pastor will preach and teach God’s Word, shepherd the congregation, lead prayerfully with church leaders, equip believers for ministry, and encourage evangelism and missions. He must meet the biblical qualifications in 1 Timothy 3:1–7, Titus 1:5–9, and 1 Peter 5:1–4 and be doctrinally aligned with CVBC’s statement of faith, The Baptist Faith & Message (2000), and CVBC’s Constitution and Bylaws.

This is a part-time position (10-12 hr./weekly) but would require Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings minimal.
DUTIES:
Lead the congregation and choir, during worship service.
Select hymns that align with the pastor’s message.
Conduct rehearsals efficiently.
Communicate effectively with choir members, instrumentalists, and praise team leader.
Foster a positive inclusive environment that encourages creativity and teamwork.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven experience in leading musical ensembles
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
