RIDGEWOOD BAPTIST CHURCH, 703 HEMLOCK RD., N.W. ROANOKE, VA. Is seeking a dynamic and inspiring MUSIC DIRECTOR to lead our congregation in worship.
This is a part-time position (10-12 hr./weekly) but would require Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings minimal.
DUTIES:
Lead the congregation and choir, during worship service.
Select hymns that align with the pastor’s message.
Conduct rehearsals efficiently.
Communicate effectively with choir members, instrumentalists, and praise team leader.
Foster a positive inclusive environment that encourages creativity and teamwork.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven experience in leading musical ensembles
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
Excellent communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Passion for music
Optional- play a musical instrument (piano, guitar, etc)
